Parents wishing to visit while their student shaves will be required to obtain visitors badges from the front office. Adults who wish to shave with their students will be worked into the rotation whenever their student is scheduled to go.

Participant Schedule:

If a different timeslot is desired, please contact the event organizers or let us know at the event and we can make whatever time you need work.

WAYS TO PARTICIPATE:

Shave Your Head

Kids with cancer often lose their hair during treatment, and we shave our heads so we can stand proudly bald beside them.

  • Click the link above for the main event page.
    • Click "Join Us" and register a profile on the Baldrick's website.
  • Fill out the Shavee Participant Form, with a parent signature if needed.
    • If you are one of the first 100 students to turn in your form, you will receive a free DCC beanie that you can wear in school until Spring Break!
  • You will be assigned a time-slot on Mar. 3rd when you will be called down to the MS gym to shave your head.
  • Family members may visit to watch their student get shaved during the appropriate time-slot.

Donate YOUR Hair

For those with long hair, we are also participating with Pantene's Beautiful Lengths Program, the largest national movement to create free, real-hair wigs for women with cancer.

  • Click the link above for the main event page.
    • Click "Join Us" and register a profile on the Baldrick's website.
  • Click HERE for hair requirements.
    • NOTE: There will be NO styling that takes place.  Just one cut below the hair band. Plan accordingly.
  • Be sure to fill out the Shavee Participant Form, with a parent signature if needed.
  • You will be assigned a time-slot on Mar. 3rd when you will be called down to the MS gym to cut your hair.

Raise Money

The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer-powered charity committed to funding the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long and healthy lives.

  • Click the link above for the main event page.
  • You may also find a specific participant to donate to (EXAMPLE).
  • Click "Donate" to quickly and safely donate via credit card on the Baldrick's website.
    • Students may submit cash and check donations to their Bridges teacher.
  • If a shavee raises at least $50 in online donations, they will receive a free Baldrick's t-shirt when they shave their head!

...Or do all three!

NOTE: The DCC event is for D20 students, family, and staff only, but others who would like to shave are encouraged to join one of the other local Baldrick's events to get their head shaved:

Jack Quinn's Irish Pub & Restaurant on Mar. 6

Back East Bar and Grill on Mar. 12

- St. Stephen's Episcopal Church on Mar. 18
